Craft + Commerce by ConvertKit is where professional creators come together to build community, renew their inspiration for their work, and refine the strategies and tactics they’re using to grow their business. The event will feature 10-12 main stage talks from entrepreneurs making a full time living from their business and 16 actionable workshops on essential topics led by experts in their fields.

As a sponsor, the value in this event consists of a few key aspects:

  1. The opportunity to be tied to the ConvertKit brand. We’ve worked hard to build a brand our customers trust and identify with. From our company value that existing customers matter more than new customers to our product roadmap to the way we approach marketing, we always put our customers first.   2. The highly polished experience of the event. From the moment our attendees arrive at the venue to the moment the last drink is poured at the closing party, we think through every detail to create a delightful experience. Attendees will associate that polish with your brand.

We refer to our customers and Craft + Commerce attendees as “Creators.” That word can mean many things to many people – identities ranging from photographer to fine artist to author to maker – and the attendees reflect this diversity. What they have in common is that they are all earning a full time living from an online business that turns their skills and passions into their own personal empire.

Some facts and figures about the Craft + Commerce attendees:

  • 400 total attendees
  • Influencers who have built an audience through some form of content – a blog, podcast, YouTube channel, or social media
  • Make money selling ebooks, online courses, freelance services, physical products, advertising & sponsorships
  • Work in industries ranging across fashion, food, personal finance, fitness, graphic design, online business, photography, teaching, and much more.
  • Audience sizes of each attendee range from 5,000 – 200,000 email subscribers, with many more followers across all of their channels
  • Collective email reach of all attendees is between 3,000,000 – 6,000,000 people (We measure true reach as the number of people on attendees’ email lists because other audiences are so subject to algorithm and platform changes.)
  • 53% male and 47% female attendees in 2017

Location

Craft + Commerce is an annual event in Boise, Idaho, the birthplace of ConvertKit and home to the majority of ConvertKit’s leadership team. The city is often called “the next Portland, OR” because of it’s awesome downtown full of great cocktails, coffee shops, and restaurants and it’s proximity to endless outdoor adventures on the river or in the mountains. Craft + Commerce is the entrepreneurial event in Boise, ID each year, which gives us the chance to own the location and how attendees experience the city.

Across sponsorship levels, we offer a variety of benefits and access to attendees, all of which are designed to help you get maximum brand exposure and build trust with this audience. Our goal is for you to not only build brand awareness with attendees, but to earn back your investment in sponsorship through new customer acquisition as a direct result of joining us in Boise at Craft  + Commerce.

Sponsorship Levels

Visionary – $15,000 (2)

  • Opening or closing party sponsorship – as one of our visionary sponsors for the event you’ll be sponsoring one of the two parties:
    • Opening party sponsorship – the opening party welcomes all attendees to Boise and Craft + Commerce, serving as our kick-off to the conference. Most attendees are present and you can expect it to be a bright, welcoming networking event that provides heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks on Friday, June 29th.
    • Closing party sponsorship – the closing party is a true party, complete with night club atmosphere, champagne welcome, full dinner served in a variety of stations, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages for all, and, of course, a dance party. We also make an introverts’ lounge available with lighter music, dim light, a separate bar and food to take care of our less party-prone guests. You’ll be known as the sponsor that put on the great dance party at C+C’s closing night, July 1.
  • Workshop delivery – 16 workshops split into four sessions throughout the weekend mean that each workshop has about 100 attendees. Those 100 attendees will be captive to your team’s best speaker for a full hour+ long workshop. We encourage you to use this as a chance to teach on a topic that highlights the magic of the product you make for the creators in the room.
  • Main stage and workshop promotion – We promote all of our sponsors from the main stage and workshops, and for some levels we fully introduce your company and product in terms of why we’re excited to partner. This is a chance to make sure every attendee knows that you’re part of the reason Craft + Commerce 2018 exists.
  • Speaker dinner invitation – the speaker dinner is our private, exclusive event for all main stage speakers and workshop hosts. We ask that all main stage speakers attend the speakers’ dinner as part of our agreement, which means that everyone will be there. This is your chance to interact with the biggest names with the most influence at the conference.
  • Sponsor booth – We like to think of booths at Craft + Commerce like an Apple Genius Bar. We love it when sponsors treat the booth like an opportunity to educate attendees on best practices for using your product to grow their business. We find that the most sales happen when sponsors take the approach of serving first, which also reflects our value to Teach Everything You Know.
  • Swag bag contribution – Whether it’s a book by your founder, a beautiful notebook embossed with your company motto, or a well-designed pop-up card that promotes a special offer, this is your chance to leave a lasting impression on attendees once they leave. After all, it’s tough to remember everything you experience at a conference, so you want a way to stay in touch after they leave Boise.
  • 4 Conference tickets – Each sponsorship comes with a number of tickets to make sure your team can attend without incurring further costs. Just seems like the right thing to do!
  • Logo on the conference site, signage at the event, and in event emails – We’ll include your logo on the conference website and in all event emails to 100,000+ people in our email list and 400 attendees once all tickets have been purchased.
  • Dedicated email callout – In special cases for headline sponsors, we’ll include a dedicated call to action in emails to our email audience of more than 100,000 online creators. This gives you exposure to our crew and allows us to pitch you the way a great partner should: as a go-to provider for our audience.

Motivator – $10,000 (4)

  • Main stage and workshop promotion – We promote all of our sponsors at this level from the main stage and workshops, and we fully introduce your company and product in terms of why we’re excited to partner. This is a chance to make sure every attendee knows that you’re part of the reason Craft + Commerce 2018 exists.
  • Coffee break sponsorship – as you know, there might not be anything quite so important as coffee at a conference. Lack of sleep, too many drinks with new friends, and early starts mean that everyone needs a couple of pick-me-ups each day. We’ll recognize you as the purveyor of fine caffeine at C+C 2018.
  • Sponsor booth – We like to think of booths at Craft + Commerce like an Apple Genius Bar.
