Quality Over Quantity: How Being Nice Can Attract Your Engaged Tribe

Jump Room (5th Floor)

Overview:

Some say traditional marketing tactics have been completely obliterated by social media.

Have analytics and algorithms really replaced product, price, placement, and promotion? Maybe so, maybe not. The real questions we should be asking are what are our customers, followers, or consumers leaving with after they encounter us? What voice have we amplified by touching one person? If we don’t know, where should we start?

In this session, we’re going to take a look at two basic, but effective marketing tactics that can open the door to you attracting, impacting and retaining your loyal tribe and how you can implement and track them immediately within your business.

Takeaways:

  • Proven strategies to maximize your existing content
  • Tactics to bridge online and offline experiences
  • Your social media cheat sheet to ensure you’re in tune with your followers

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is for entrepreneurs or social media managers who are looking to understand their existing audience, engage with them, and use social media strategies to speak to their pain points.

We Can’t All Be Brain Surgeons

Some of us dive deep, learn everything we can on a subject and become experts.  Some of us learn as many different things as possible and have a wide range of skills.

Both are good, and both have their faults.

It’s important to understand how you learn, so you can use your strengths to your advantage and get help in the places where you’re not strong. Bob Claggett is going to share the importance of having a versatile skill-set.

Using Affiliate Marketing to Grow your Business

Inspire (4th Floor)
Beginner

Overview: Affiliate marketing is a way to generate an income by recommending other people or company’s products. It’s a powerful way to diversify (or begin) one’s monetization efforts, however most brands and businesses aren’t even scratching the surface for what’s possible.
Pat Flynn from SmartPassiveIncome.com will be walking you through a process to fit affiliate marketing into your brand in a way that can help you generate long term passive income, without being sleazy or feeling slimy in the process. You’ll learn about what types of products are the best to promote, where to find them, strategies for how to promote them, and how to automate the selling process, too.

Takeaways:

  1. A 5-point test to determine whether or not a product is a good fit to promote for you and your brand.
  2. The affiliate marketer’s “secret weapon” (which hardly anyone is doing) for increasing conversions and sales.
  3. You’ll learn about the most important laws and regulations so you can keep it going long term without getting in trouble.

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is for the person or brand that wants to add another income stream to their bottom line. It doesn’t matter how big the following is…if your brand is built to serve others, affiliate marketing can be a powerful way to do that, while also helping you get paid at the same time.

Teaching Toward Transformation: The Why and The How, on Any Medium

Loft (5th floor)
Advanced

Overview: One of my favorite ConvertKit-isms is “Teach everything you know.” There’s just one problem: teaching is an art and a science, and to master it you need more than to have sat in a bunch of classrooms throughout your life.

How do we increase the odds that our teaching — whether it’s through blogging or vlogging or podcasting or consulting or what-have-you — produces the kind of transformation in our students that gets us repeat business and word-of-mouth marketing? That’s the central question we’ll pursue in this session.

Takeaways:

  1. Clarify the learning transformation you are targeting, either holistically across your platform or for a given product
  2. Streamline your material so that it produces the greatest impact in the shortest amount of time
  3. Understand the five key beliefs beneath student motivation and how to cultivate them in your learners
